Your Surgery, Your Choice
Three trained, experienced surgeons are offering advanced surgical procedures at Auburn Regional Medical Center. These new physicians encourage patients to take an active role in their surgical experience.
Learn Your Options
"Patients should feel free to ask questions to help them feel comfortable with their surgeons' training and experience," says Donald Stepan, M.D., general surgeon. "They can make their preferences known as well -- including a desire to have their procedure at Auburn Regional so they can stay close to home."General Surgery
General surgeons at ARMC perform minimally invasive and traditional open surgeries to:

- Remove the gallbladder
- Resect the bowel
- Excise benign and malignant masses in the breast
- Diagnose and treat colorectal cancer
- Address other conditions throughout the body
"Patients can do their own research and talk with their surgeons about available treatments so they'll understand their options," says Linnea Spens, M.D., general surgeon. "At ARMC, we use minimally invasive techniques whenever possible because they're easier on patients."
Vascular Surgery
Dennis Su, M.D., a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon, offers advanced endovascular and open procedures, including:- Minimally invasive procedures to repair aneurysms in the abdomen and chest
- Angiography and stenting procedures to open vessels that supply blood to the brain, kidneys and legs
- Wound management
Dr. Su also treats the following conditions:
- Venous diseases, including stasis ulcers and varicose veins
- Dialysis access and maintenance management
"We're committed to providing patients with exceptional care and services," Dr. Su says. "We want to help patients feel better and return to their usual activities as quickly as possible."
