| ![]() "When my husband had a heart attack, we went to Auburn Regional."
"We had a picnic at our house for Scott's coworkers. They were playing basketball when Scott went into cardiac arrest. Three of his coworkers gave him CPR while another called 911. Paramedics arrived minutes later and quickly transported Scott to Auburn Regional Medical Center. "At the hospital, doctors found a major blockage in one of Scott's arteries. They put in a stent to restore blood flow. But there were complications caused by the heart attack and Scott was in a coma for two weeks. We didn't know if he would make it, but the doctors and nurses did everything they could to help him pull through and he did. "When he was released, Scott completed his rehab at Auburn Regional. He went back to work about a month after his release. Now he works out every day, and he's even shooting baskets again. Everyone should be checked for heart attack risk…even people who appear young and healthy. "The staff at the hospital were amazing. They told me everything that was going on. I was eight months pregnant at the time and they kept a special eye on me. They even made special arrangements so my doctor could deliver my baby at Auburn Regional. "In fact, less than a month after his heart attack and on his 31st birthday, Scott was in the delivery room with me to watch our daughter come into the world." – Jennifer Hassmann, Ravensdale, Wash.
