Diabetes Coaching Classes
Revitalize your commitment to self care! This class will help you develop and prioritize diabetes management goals, identify challenges and develop strategies for success in maintaining optimal glucose control. This is a two hour class designed as an annual "fine tuning" on the road to staying in control. It is a follow-up class to Taking Control.

Tuesday Mornings, 9–11 AM

Wednesday Afternoons, 4–6 PM
June 20, July 18, Sept. 12

To register, please call the Heart Care Center at 253-333-2559. Most insurance companies cover class cost. It is a Medicare benefit for diabetes.

Carbohydrate Counting and More: Medical Nutrition Therapy for Diabetes
This 90-minute class focuses on nutrition for diabetes management and heart healthy eating. Covered topics include:

  • Carbohydrate counting
  • Weight management
  • Disordered eating
  • Intensive insulin management
  • Meal management

Wednesday, 4–5:30 PM, June 27

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR is offered three times monthly.

  • Second Tuesday of each month, 6–8:30 PM (renewal only)
  • Third Saturday of each month, 9–11:30 AM (renewal only)
  • Fourth Thursday of each month, 8:30 AM–Noon
